Iran - Suicide Nuclear Bomber?
The Iran Press service has an article from Dec 14th which contains the following chilling quote from former president and second most influential ruling cleric Rafsanjani:
"If a day comes when the world of Islam is duly equipped with the arms Israel has in possession, [...] application of an atomic bomb would not leave any thing in Israel but the same thing would just produce damages in the Muslim world."
Translation: We can destroy Israel with nuclear weapons while receiving only acceptable damage in response.
He continued:
Jews shall expect to be once again scattered and wandering around the globe the day when this appendix is extracted from the region and the Muslim world.
Obviously Iran cannot be trusted with nuclear weapons, yet Iran has a very active nuclear weapons program, as recently verified by UN inspectors. It must be added to the list of nations that must be disarmed.

The fact remains, the hardliners in Iran do not advocate the killing of innocent people in Israel. They're not quite the loose cannons you make them out to be.
Having nukes is just a deterrant to Israel's 200 nuclear weapons, where Israel has made some veiled threats to Iran. I don't see a fight breaking out, but another MAD scenario of detente.

Obviously you didn't understand what Rafsanjani is saying!
He was advocating destroying Israel with nuclear weapons, even though hundreds of millions would have been killed in the Muslim world as a result.
These people are full of hate.

Why don't you stop posting comments all through my blog without even checking the facts first.
Oh, BTW, Rafsanjani is the number two person in the dictatorship called The Islamic Republic of Vietnam!
