Oops.. A Better Idea on the Uday/Qusay Corpses
Sat July 26th, 2003 20:37 MSTInstapundit’s Afghan Correspondent, Professor John Robert Kelly, found that the Afghans considered US televising of the corpses to be a mistake.
“The naked bodies of Uday and Qusay should never have been shown by the U.S. It gives them a bad reputation in the Islamic world.
But they have a good solution, which is pretty creative, and darned funny too!
The Americans were very foolish. They should have given the film to Al Jazeera. They would have broadcast it for certain and the Americans would have been completely without blame in the Islamic world.
Something not mentioned by the Professor or Instapundid is that we did allow Al Jazeera to film and broadcast the corpses. The Afghans mentioned in the article were apparently watching Fox News, because it is so popular there.
sometimes it doesn’t matter what we do as far as the ‘pseudo media’ is concerned, whether it’s european, canadian or our very own home grown ijits.
