When you go tornado chasing, sometimes you get in too much of a hurry. This picture was
taken about 15 miles north of Wichita Falls, Texas on May 29, 1994. The cloud in the
background is a supercell just south of Wichita Falls, about 20 minutes before producing
the first tornado in a series of 6 that evening. Needless to say, we didn't quite get
there in time.
By the way, this picture is actually a composite of two other pictures (41K), but the meaning
doesn't change.
