An Answer to the Anti-SUV Movement

The trial lawyers want you to think that SUV’s are unsafe, so they can make zillions suing the automakers. The trial lawyers are major contributors to the Democratic Party.
The environmentalists want you to think that SUV’s are unsafe and evil, since they hate anything that burns petroleum, and the are frightened when consumers defy them. They are major contributors to the Democratic Party and virtually control it on these issues.
Arianne Huffington wants you to think that SUV’s are evil because driving them magically supports terrorism. Arrianne Huffington is a well known rich flake who lives in a mansion. She travels in gas guzzling private jets. She has purchased a television campaign arguing that SUV drivers support terrorism (she probably did it to get attention).
But someone has come up with an answer to that campaign.

Emviormental wackos are the biggest hipporates! While working as a smog check mechanic, I discovered that the odds of a car failing smog check are directly proportional to the number of wack stickers on the back window. They love to point fingers at others as they drive thier neglected gross polluting roller skate cars to their demonstrations. My tactic is to follow them to thier car, open thier hoods, and beat them over the head with thier own filthy air cleaners, choke them with their own defective plug wires, and whip them their own collapsed pcv hoses.
i would tend to think the problem with suvs is not
top heavy. i would think the springs/shocks to taught rear or opposite in front, gas tank to wide or too many tanks or extra storage in top or tanks plus driver
If we should ban SUV’s because they pollute, why not ban TV’s. After all, where does the electricity come from, if not from burning fossil fuels. So, before we ban cars, which we need to travel around, lets ban TV. There’s something all those Hollywood folk like Alec Baldwin can get behind. Unless, perchance they are hippocrites when it comes to losing there jobs to save mother earth.

There are a small majority of people with their eyes open in this world I assume. Global Warming, Pollution, overpopulation, and the selfish attitude of SUV drivers, who require a vehicle suited that is suited for a soccer team, not a single individual. Anyone who chooses to research this topic will not be able to deny the proof that SUV’s are dangerous to our future, but if your too selfish to care, buy a Hummer, grab your cell phone, slam into Mini and feel fine about it, you have no conscience anyway.

There are a lot of people in the world who are susceptible to all sorts of propaganda, including the anti-SUV propaganda. Apparently you are one of them.
I have good reasons for my SUV. It is comfortable and relatively safe for my tornado chasing trips. If you don’t like it, it doesn’t bother me in the slightest.
Likewise, it doesn’t bother my conscience, because I am well aware of how silly most of the arguments against SUV’s are.
So go ahead, rant at SUV drivers if you enjoy it. But don’t delude yourself that you are doing anything noble. It’s just ranting.
It continues to amaze me that people think they have a need for an SUV. I can’t even tell you how many times I have almost been plowed over by some woman-alone- in an Expedition who thinks the road is hers because her car is ten times the size of mine. SUV’s should be outlawed unless they are restricted to farm use or when road conditions become closed to all vehicles except 4-wheel drives and cars with chains. SUV’s are dangerous and unneccesary. Do you have 7 children? Probably not. You use too much gas, we can’t see around you, and you think you own the road. Down with the SUV’s!
i dont see what the big deal is….yeah lots of people have SUV’s, its there choice to buy one, weather some people like it or not. i own and drive an SUV myself, its comfy and stores plenty of things to go on a camping trip along with the excess room of taking another passenger…but one question if you want to save gas and be all save the enviroment? would you rather have ONE SUV take kids to a soccer game…or have each individual kid take there car and go to the game? the choice is yours.
Hmmm, for the anti-suv whacko’s out there let me ask something…how come none of you are actually answering the statements made by the pro-suv people? I wonder, if we ban suv’s should we ban semi’s? Well, we can’t ban the semi’s (which pollute more than an suv could thing of) you whacko’s wouldn’t be able to take delivery of your “clean” cars or bikes, and lets not forget that without them you wouldn’t be able to get your hippie gear at the mall. As for the person that whined about not being able to see around suv’s, how about driving safely and leaving space between you and the vehicle in front of you, that way your not endangering others by tailgating and (this is amazing how this part works) you will be able to see around the suv.

Semi’s haul tons of goods for the economy, SUV’s do not.
Semi’s also have a ton of restictions and regulations that SUV’s do not.
The bottom line is, SUV’s will have to be banned because of the line-of-sight problems they incur upon other drivers.
Before you go and try to negate that with semi’s, remind yourself, a semi driver requires a CDL license, and semi’s are typically restricted to certain roads and speeds.
I, myself, plan on inventing an ANTI-DICK IN THE SUV bar which extends from the bottom rear of a passenger car with a 2 foot thin blade positioned at the approximate location of a driver’s head in a SUV.
I am amazed that some people think they have the right to tell me what kind of car to drive. Do you want to make my car payment? I have 5 children and I NEED a large vehicle. My previous van used just as much gas as my 3 seat SUV. Get a life people and mind your own business unless you plan on buying me a gas friendly car that can seat 7.
Go Amanda, why should you care about the environment, after all, you’re living in you own world anyway - hope you don’t get choked to death by the smog from your SUV.

Not one of the monster behemoth ones just a jeep cherokee. I have had it for four years and do not drive around a family though I take many road trips shopping camping etc… And heres the shocker I DO take it off roading. February of 2002 there was a major blizzard on the east coast all over the radio there were requests for people with 4 wheel drive to assist in getting hospital personnel to work. I got off my ass and went out and actually drove three nurses to Stonybrook University medical center. Try that in you mini cooper. In the rare event someone owns and SUV and uses it as it was intended we should not be lumped into the same category as the trust fund wives and losers who think that their excursion with 24 inch chrome rims makes them look cool it doesnt it looks stupid and you give responsible SUV drivers a bad name. Ps I worked as a mechanic for 4 years while in college. Many passenger cars when not properly maintained put off as much pollution as any SUV
i hate suv drivers they think there so big and high and mighty but on a narrow road or street in ireland which they are pently of the panic (women/men)with young kids in back not belted up of course i drive for a living and i love to jam them up and make it hard for them to move then i move when dont expect it i never them out of a side turning or when they are tailgating i will move over to the right( motorway) where they are stone and then they back off that will show them or when i overtake i will sit behind them and i (MEAN)sit i can see the screws of the reg plate ha ha ha F**k SUV Drivers JOIN MY CAUSE HA HA HA
I only have two cars. Both are SUV’s. I need the ability to go off road and carry large loads - both when I chase tornados (where the former is life saving) and when I have to go to mountaintops to fix emergency system radio repeaters.
But I would never drive them in Ireland - been there and the roads are too narrow.
If you tried your trick here in Arizona, you would be arrested - if you lived that long. If you tailgated me, you might discover (as someone else once did) that when you run into an SUV from behind in a little car, the front your car is turned to a little, pathetic crumpled mess while the SUV is unhurt.
Of course, should you protest, you would find that many of us carry loaded firearms in our car just in case somebody threatens us.
So stay in Ireland, where big SUV’s are inappropriate on so many roads, and your main risk is going to be when someone stops suddenly and your silly face ends up smashed into their license plate.
Smart people don’t harrass other people in traffic. They don’t tailgate.
Which tells me that you are not smart.
Hint: don’t come to the American west and try that trick. It’s messy cleaning the blood off of the street.
Clearly you have already made it clear the SUV’s are unsafe for other drivers.
For anyone that does go offroading: That’s good, you are using it for its intended purpose.
But how many times do I actually see an SUV with dirt on it?

I don’t know if you know this, but power plants are a lot cleaner than you think right now.
And usually, the people who tailgate ME and the people who drive SUV’s
