I would like to say, that we all should vote for our president agagin. Never did we ever have such a charming, warmhearted and truely intelectual man as a president.
He will prevent the country from all bad influences.
I think he is godlike, I really do. I think he is another Jesus. Look at the expression on his face, the way he talks... so freely so poetic so beautiful.

i love this man.

lets all vote for him

PLEASE !!!

Other than the one short period of the Revolution, and during wars when our help was needed, France was antagonistic towards the US for most of history. And our revolution didn't result in a series of governments, some extremely brutal.

Even during the revolutionary war, France helped us to hurt Britain, not out of altruism.

Your nation stabbed mine in the back last year. For crass commercial reasons, and to check the power of the United States, your nation and Russia (speaking of raping the planet) tried to stop our replacement of one of the worst regimes in modern times, an action we undertook to increase the security of the free world. Would you prefer that Saddam Hussein was still in power, with the (inevitable) end of sanctions?

It would be utterly silly to treat all nations as equals when they are not. Why should a 17th Century Treaty of Westphalia, meant to cement the power of monarchies, be our guide in the 2001? Should we treat the tyranny of Belorus the same as France? Should Lichtenstein have the same influence as India? Should Islamofascist Iran have the same influence and be treated as well as Canada? This equality among nations is a silly idea and always has been. Equality under the law for individuals is the principle in America. Nations are not individuals, are not created equal in any way, and have radically different characteristics and behavior.

We used our military because we were viciously attacked. Of course, our critics seem to have forgotten that, and are unwilling to understand Tge poor state of European press coverage explains a lot of European ignorance about world events. It used to be the other way around, but now European media is so full of politically correct and anti-American propaganda that Europeans I meet or converse with have little idea of what is going on outside of Europe, and especially in America.

Strangely enough, when I lived in France in 1991, this anti-Americanism wasn't nearly as virulent... in fact, I detected none of it. But it has always been latent... France has long considered itself the intellectual and moral leader of the world, when in fact it lost the former position in the 20th century and never held the latter position. France reminds me of a bully who has found a bigger guy on the playground who ignores him.

Oh, and what is this "non-voting free people" nonsense? I voted for Bush and will do so again this year.

As far as corporations and politicians raping the planet, corruption in France is vast compared to the US. Just look at who was on Saddam's Oil-for-Bribes payroll! And France has sold nuclear facilities to anyone who asks. France also feels perfectly free to intervene in African states without international agreement, which it has done twice in the last 2 years, even while protesting coalition actions in Iraq.

Furthermore, France has a history of colonialization, with brutal rulers who left behind seriously damaged societies compared to those ruled by Britain. We had to try to rescue one of those, Vietnam, after France screwed it up. The US does not and never has had colonies. But we are the ones raping the rest of the planet?

I'd say you folks should remember the gift we gave you, at great cost, twice in the last 100 years - your freedom. And perhaps you should also do a little self examination, and realize that your society is in advanced stages of decadence, incapable of moral decisions and frustrated that the world no longer bows down and kiss your shoes. French used to be the language of science. Now English is. Why do you suppose that is? French used to be the language of diplomacy. Now English is. Why do you suppose that is?

Have you been to Omaha Beach? Americans landed on that narrow beach surrounded by fortified hills, and advanced from there and other beaches to liberate France (along with the British). It was once covered with the bodies of American soldiers. Now it is covered with French cottages.

And you want us to be grateful?

France should stick to what it does best... making food. I miss Parisian food, and one of these days will probably go back, although your excess crime rate makes it more dangerous than going to a good French restaurant in New York City.

It would be wise to remember who fought off the British for American independence. Who donated the most memorable US landmark The Statue of Liberty. You owe everything to France and as a republic you have more in common than the UK. If the US wishes to be the nation it brags to be, then treating all nations as equals, and not through bullyboy tactics, would go a long way to repairing the damage of a foreign policy gone rotten.
One reason people hate America, is because you the people, the non-voting free people, choose to satisfy yourselves with materialism, and allow the corporations and politicians to rape the rest of the planet. Until you exercise your gift from France and expect more Jeffersons, Lincoln et al, then you will go the way of all previous empires.

I'm living in Brussels (Belgium).

I don't understand why to boycott some products (american or french or russian or ....) because the country was favorable or not to the Irak War II. What will it change? Will I stop to eat big mac? no. Will I stop to drink wodka because tchetchenian war? no,...

P.S.: fries are from Belgium. It does not matter because Belgium was against war in Irak...

O.K. People, we need to communicate that it's not so much the French and German peoples that we are after! We are after their leaders! Since we can't vote in their parliaments, all we can do is put pressure on the voters of the two countries to tell their elected Ministers of Parliament to have a vote of no confidence to remove Schroeder, Villepaine, and of course Yellow Jacques Chirac from power! ( I call him yellow Jacques not for cowardice, but because he is like a bad disease and he makes me feverish with anger!!!!! We also want the rench Intelligence services to cooperate fully with ours on Iraq( I'm sure they know where the W.M.D.s are!)

You said on your message, that your are going to boycott the Statue of Liberty because it's French.

Godd idea. Imagine that everybody is going to boycott it. What will happen ? All the AMERICAN empoyees in charge of this Statue will be fired. Not the FRENCH employees.

So boycott it if you want...

We French would like to thank and further encourage all Americans who are boycotting our wine by buying it and spilling it out all day long (don't worry, we have keep the best bottles for ourselves). Our exports to the US have never been as good, please extend this boycott to all our products! And do not listen to all those who say it's against your constitution, bla, bla.

Do also not forget not to drink any Champagne whatsoever: You can (have to!) buy it and spill it but hey, no exceptions Ladies and Gentlemen, for your (cheap) parties you have to drink the cheap stuff instead, like a Bud (followed by a big fat buuurp), wine coolers, etc. Certainly a better fit to all the fat stuff you eat, and good enough for your (fat) bimbos, right?
Quote from an US newspaper: ...In fact, some shoppers are stocking up on French products as a way off supporting its opposition to the United States' attack on Iraq. "I go out of my way to buy French things these days", said one shopper..."
Also many thanks for Fox News for having recently upgraded their TV equipment with Thomson, a French company: That's true French boycott, keep it up! After all, it's in your own interest, many Americans (individuals, pension funds, etc.) are shareholders of French companies...

And for those low-IQ fanatics stricktly only buying from the few non-French owned US companies, no problem: We are also shareholders! So whatever you buy, we also benefit from it. And boy-oh-boy, yes you guys need to spend a lot to feel Ok and to constantly service your big fat bellies.

By the way, should US companies in France also be boycotted? After all, they mainly employ French staff, don't they? Ah, damned global economy...

Of course, a special thanks for all those who are publishing lists of our companies and products: We couldn't have hoped for better free world-wide publicity and exposure. We'm Just disapointed to see there are altogether just a couple of million visitors that connected to the web sites, and many of them were French, how, like me, wanted to learn about my country's industry: Amazing all the things we produce...and all the US company we own, no?

Further, after having changed from French to Freedom Fries (finally!), we suggest to also drop "restaurant", a French word, from your vocabulary and to find a more appropriate name like "Fa(s)t Food Parlor", or "Big Belly Heaven"? Bon Appetit, dudes!

By the way, are you also going to get rid of the Statue of Liberty? For all those who don't remember, she was given to the US by France as a reminder that we helped you become independent some 230 years ago... but that's a long time ago, right?

However, we hope for your own sake that you will never drop French Kissing: You know, make love, not war!

Your friend Oncle Jack (Ch)irac!

Disclaimer: This and any of your email may have reached its destination through French-made IT/Telecom equipment. Americans are therefore encouraged to boycott the world-wide email system!

By the way, are you also going to get rid of the Statue of Liberty? For all those who don’t remember, she was given to the US by France as a reminder that we helped you become independent some 230 years ago… but that’s a long time ago, right?

However, we hope for your own sake that you will never drop French Kissing: You know, make love, not war!

Your friend Oncle Jack (Ch)irac!

I have read pages of this crap. The supporters of France just do not get it.

The USA lost thousands of our troops over their bringing them out of a situation like the Iraq people were in.

Are the French pissed that we only lost several of our troops in Iraq? Are they pissed that their weponds sold to Iraq did not kill more of our troops? Or are they PISSED and afraid that we are finding that their leador was selling arms under the table to Iraq? France was also providing Iraq with information to Saddam on the priviate talks with France. France had a ship caught carrying parts to Nrth Korea from Germany to support their nuclear proogram. France went out of the way to work for those that oppose the USA.

Not in the USA news media, but, the arabicnews.com is reporting France is in syria making oil deals.

The French love dealing working with terroist countries...

Also look at the French attitude involving the Iraq oil, the oil the USA has sworn to use for the Iraq people.

look as the attitude of the French here on this site.

I support the right of the French to do as the choose, and I expect them to shut up and live with the choices THEY made. Anything we do is in reaction to their actions.

France is not our friend and they are afraid how much underhanded actions they have made.

to all you French people reading this, You started this, so please shut up and live with the results of your actions. To those of you supporting the boycott of Americian products,, I support you 500%. Screw France, we will make the products here in the USA.

I cancelled Our Vacition plans to visit the Statue of liberty, cause it was built by the french. We are going to New York in respect to 911, but will not go to the statue.

When germany or terroist invade or attack your country, all I can say is good luck!!!! and have a nice day!

Checked out the sale of French food products in the US? Way down. The owner of French's Mustard (a US product) made a special plea to let people know it wasn't a frog product.

The Airbus deal had been in the works for many months. Nevertheless I am disappointed that they would make the choice, but since Airbus is government subsidized it can outcompete Boeing on price.

Jim,
You don't seem to smart yourself. You hate listening to Americans rant. By listen, of course, you mean read. So stop reading it, eh?

As far as culture, we have what counts.

And we are wrecking yours with Hollywood and McDonalds. Go suck it up!

The one thing about the internet that annoys me is having to listen to fat pea-brained americans rant on all the time. Shut up! I don't care! Life is so much better here in Europe than over in the states. Complain all you want, invade whoever you want, but your country will always be devoid of culture. New York City is the only place in the entire united states that is not a backward cess-pit.
Get back to your crappy lives in your crappy country and stop annoying me

82% of french people voted against 'LePen The Pig' in the 2nd round... Only 19% voted for Chirac in the first round...

But whatever, boycott french products if you think it's a solution... It's a non-violent way to express your opinion, it won't kill people, and that's ok for me.

And if someday you want to taste some stinky cheese and a nice chablis, you will be welcome as an individual by some french individuals who are not a governement nor a company ;)

See you then when all of this will be cleared by the both of us !

Peace...

Phil,

You make a valid point - most people are just people. Personally, if I lived in Paris again, I would boycott McDonald's because there is much, much, much better food available :-) I have problem with big companies in general, because they do not wish to rule the world, they just wish to sell things to everyone in the world.

However, the French Government, elected by the French people, is actively striving to harm America and took actions which probably cost American lives in the Iraq war. For that, France will be punished.

Oh, btw, your English is far better than my French has ever been.
