Pull U.S. Troops from Kosovo

Posted By John Moore on March 7, 2003

The United States has 4350 troops in Kosovo. As war in Iraq approaches, and war with North Korea looms, we certainly have better uses for those forces.

The troops are there to help solve a European problem: peacekeeping in the Balkans. Since the French and Germans are obstructing our vital self defense effort in Iraq, there is no reason for us to help them in the Balkans. Let them do their own housecleaning!

Though your argument seems to make sense logically, there are many more considerations in the matter. The United States isn’t in the area for the sake of being in the area…there are many more aspects that one must consider…I just ask that everyone consider the full implications of withdrawing troops from the area.
