Immutability, Three Rules of:
	(1) If a tarpaulin can flap, it will.
	(2) If a small boy can get dirty, he will.
	(3) If a teenager can go out, he will.

Council of Midgets: An interesting comment and together with some of the other comments on these pages just goes to cement the view most Europeans have of our American friends. It’s a well known fact that a vast majority of Americans have never left their own country, let alone the state they live in. So it doesn’t amaze me that you may not be able to find most of these places on a world map. I’d be very impressed if President Bush could find Iraq on a world map, let alone form a justified case for war.

Its interesting to note some of the views in these pages because, like many other nations, France, Germany, Great Britain. The USA was a major contributor to Iraq’s WMD’s especially those that Mr D Rumsfelt so skilfully negotiated the sale of back in the 80’s.

Its also interesting to note the distinct lack of any evidence as to WMD’s which are left in Iraq. It may be the case that Saddam is playing his old games. It may be the case that the USA and Great Britain have valid evidence. But, after months of talks, UN meetings, newsreel after newsreel, we have yet to be shown any hard evidence as to the existence of such weapons.

Mr Blair may well be the favourite foreign leader in the States right now. . . but if the British public was allowed to choose whether we supported the USA on the Iraq question, I can assure you we would be voting a resounding NO. Opinion is running about 80% against war.

I think there is a very strong case for UN inspectors going to the USA and checking up on what they have? If any other foreign power acted like the states, dipped out of environmental treaties, ignored non-proliferation agreements then all hell would break out. . .

Why is American so different?

Why are they so blind as to the damage their current President is doing and how little support you have throughout Europe? Only 24% of British citizens support war against Iraq if UN agreement is not reached. . .
