Support the Military, Unless….

Fri April 11th, 2003 01:10 MST

Everett, Washington seems to believe in supporting the military, unless it messes up the view!

The Navy Times reports that a radar, crucial to our anti-ballistic missile system, has been rejected by the Everett City Council:

“In its resolution, the council listed several concerns regarding the proposed missile radar, including unknown health risks, environmental impacts, and the “negative visual impact to Everett’s waterfront.”

NIMBY Weenies!

One Response to “Support the Military, Unless….”

Spinner asked: What is wrong calling Bush2 a liar? This is from those who found no problem with Bill Clinton’s “I did not have sex with that woman,” or his lies under oath, or his statement that he did “loath the military.” I guess that stuff is acceptable to Spinner. I want to know what evidence Spinner has that Bush2 is a greater liar than Bill Clinton or John Kerry, for that matter.

Second, Skinner asked: What is wrong…questioning (Bush2’s) military service at time of war? Nothing at all. Bush enlisted in the Air National Guard, served active long enough to finish basic training, and also long enough to finish basic flight school, and also long enough to finish jet school, and also long enough to finish jet fighter school. If Bush is as dumb as the lefties say, he was probably on active longer than your average Air National Guard jet jockey. Then, maybe Skinner can answer me how Bush is any less honorable than Teddy Kennedy, who dropped out of Harvard because he cheated by proxy on his Spanish final exam (i.e., Teddy was a “liar”), then Teddy enlisted in the U.S. Army for four years, but had his father (Ambassador Kennedy) get his enlistment shortened to two years. While Kennedy’s peers were struggling against Chinese human wave attacks in the frozen wastes of Korea, Teddy’s old man got him sent to NATO headquarters (SHARF). Not bad, incidentally, for a private. Teddy had a grand time sitting out the Korean War. He became a bobsled champ while on leave in the Alps. I can only document that Kennedy actually spent 16 months on active duty. Perhaps someone can check this out and find out how much active time he actually had. I wouldn’t be surprise if Bush had more active time, and then he did his reserve time. I doubt seriously that Teddy ever went to even ONE reserve meeting.

Maybe Skinner can explain how Moore can call any honorably discharged serviceman anything when fatso Moore won’t answer my email questions to him on HIS national service. I suspect Moore was another Clinton-clone service slacker.

Skinner is worried about the “taxpayer or the little guys.” Well, perhaps Skinner has never heard of the graduated income tax. It is the wealthy, not the poor, who pay for the greatest part of the bill for this nation. And it is “little guys with their hands out” that make up Kerry’s constituency.
