Slow Postings

Posted By John Moore on May 16, 2003

There have been few postings on this blog of late. One reason is that I am winding down from the pace during the war (especially on The Command Post), and another is that I am preparing for my annual storm chasing trip in the US midwest. For that matter, the trip itself will probably provide a major drought of postings since I will be occupied with weather forecasting, and my internet connection will probably be very slow over noisy Texas panhandle motel telephone lines.

Sadly, the is not over and, the Sons & Daughters of America are still in harms way.

Since the conclusion of the Gulf War in 1991 there had been constant low-level but HOT action in the No-Fly-Zones. The practical effect being, the war never ended.

Now we are engaged in a new war. The war on terrorism. This war may require 50 or more years to resolve.

I just hope our country can stay solvent and intact in order that the Armed Forces are to be fighting FOR something. Otherwise we are witness to the beginning of the end of the U.S.A.
