Diversity Anti Merit
There are good examples of the merits of multiculturalism. Canada, I have been told is a multicultural country, which activily supports this view of society. As I understand it works well in fostering respect for different peoples, allowing people to preserve the culturals for others to enjoy and vice versa. Multiculturalism is a kin to democracy and plurality and freedoms.
multiculturalism in America is just like the polytheism of the later Roman Empire where one could call Jesus Christ or anyone eles for that matter a god, but if one claimed that Christ was the one true God than that individual would find himself in a statium full of hungry beasts. (I am not saying America has yet reached that extream;however, it has a tendency in that direction.)
Moreover, any discution on topic that involve race that don’t shine a positive light on said minority group even when armed with statistics and verifiable sources are rejected out of hand. This is what multiculturalism dose and it is neither good for a free and just civilization nor for the said minority group that multiculturalism preports to defend. For an once of self reflection is better for a person or group that a ton of underserved pats on the back.
In sum true we ought to seek no matter where it carries us for the only alturnative is falsehood which in the end will prove determental to the civilization and thus all the groups and idividuals that that term encompasses.
