Hi,
I noticed one thing among people who’ve been in Arizona a long time – they do not like people who come from California. And I was busy, so I didn’t have time to really find out why, but for those who are there, what’s the deal? Do a lot of people come from Los Angeles with a lot of money, trying to escape CA taxes, and arrive in Phoenix wanting it to be just like Los Angeles? Or do you end up with a lot of the homeless from Los Angeles who don’t have anything to contribute and become another mouth to feed and take care of.

California has been full of lefties for a long time. I was there in the late ’60s and it was that way. I lived in Santa Monica in the late ’70s, and Jane Fonda’s gang took the town over, slapped on rent control which I think are still in effect.

I would love to live in California again. But there are too many people, the prices are too high near the ocean (which is the only draw California has for me), and almost all of my personal weapons are illegal there.

Of course, if you happen to be a Republican, you could move here. Republicans are a lot less likely to be scared of the things I mentioned above :–)

Hey, guys, what about us squared away native Californians who are dismayed by all the bozos who’ve moved here in the last 30 years and given us a bad rep? We weren’t always full of snivelling left-wing bedwetters. We just are now, and are hoping they’ll move back to the East Coast, where they belong.

For all yall that live in CA………to be totally honest yours stupid. If you are willing to pay 350-400K for a two bedroom house just because you “think” you are living close to a dirty-ass beach then you need not bother to move to AZ…….your stupid sorry ass needs to stay in CA with all the other wanna-be snobs who think they actually have it well-off.

Ditto for us in Texas as well. We don’t need a influx of people who have already destroyed one state. I’d like to add that arizona will soon have a pipeline running to el paso to get its gasoline at a reasonable price. …and how many states have their own power grid?

I have notice that on some days, Phoenix looks like LA. They must share the same smog. Arizona really is a nice state, especially in the northern part.

Trying to place just which 4 lane highway from Camelback to Sky Harbor has a 35 mph speed limit…

And I don’t believe (could be wrong) that photo radar is used/allowed on the highways.

And, if the speed limit is posted, why is it a speed trap?

And, oh never mind – we want this guy to stay away.

Well, dude, doing 48 in a 35 zone is illegal. It may be a stupid speed limit at 0745, but what’s new about that?

Airheadzona is as European as CA. Twelve years ago, as I headed for Sky Harbor on a Sunday morning at 7:45 I was caught by one of those automatic speed trap radars doing 48 in a 35 zone. This was on the four lane hiway from Camelback to Sky Harbor. Not a speck of other traffic, BTW. Since then I’ve not set in foot in AZ or spent a dime of my or my company’s money in AZ. Keep your facist state and heavy woo-woo population of astrology buffs.

An addendum to the nuke plant thing: We USED to have the three largest reactors in the country (there are three units at Palo Verde), but we got displaced. Those bastards in Texas have two units that just slightly beat ours. Of course, our total output beats them (and everyone else) by a mile.

Very comforting while watching the blackouts in the East.

One other thing: The first thing I did when I moved here was strap my Ruger on my hip and go for a stroll in public. What a state! I might not be a native, but I do try to fit in…

That’s a supurb sales job. I was thinking of Idaho but now I may take another look at Arridzona.

BTW, some really huge chunks of your state are beach, and I know some nudity goes on there.
