Kerry Chameleon
Tue February 17th, 2004 17:22 MSTWhen selecting a president, character should be an important factor. Without good character, the policy positions of a politician are meaningless.
John Kerry is a character. He has been a political wind vane, with his votes and opinions changing with the polls. About the only thing consistent has been his votes to cut the military and intelligence budgets. But he then changed his colors and blamed Bush for intelligence failures.
In a remarkable coincidence, herpetologists have just discovered a new reptilian species, Chamaelo Kerrius

Only tangentially apropos, on the inconsistency axis: The Left objected to Operation American Easgle, er, Iraqi Freedom, on the grounds that we should address the “root causes” of al-Qaeda’s discontent. Well, at the top of UBL’s list of the US’ impieties was its defiling presence in the land of Islam’s most sacred shrines.
Why were US troops in Saudi Arabia? To protect it from Saddam. Now that Saddam is gone, the US troops are pulling out. Will it diminish UBL in John Kerry’s and Michael Moore’s eyes if UBL just won’t take yes for an answer? Will they claim credit for GWB’s strategy? Stay tuned.
Hey, didn’t Boy George write a song about Kerry a few years back?
FRIDAY’S COMPENDIUM - Around the Blogosphere
Look who got a chance to blog a private Bush meeting! And what things did Rex have to say? Bottom line: If George W. Bush could spend 25 minutes chatting with everybody in America like he did with me…
I heard you on the Phil Valentine show this morning. You mentioned something about a letter signed by John Kerry and Dick Gephardt, written in 1998 to former President Bill Clinton, warning the President of Sadaam’s threat and urging him to take action. Where can I find a copy of that letter? Thanks.
