Don't Miss Behind the Scenes: Swift Boat Veterans vs. John Kerry

Thanks to the Soldiers - Iraqi Sculpture

Wed February 25th, 2004 17:00 MST

The following is a status crafted by an Iraqi sculptor from three fallen Saddam heads. I found this on Iraq the Model, a fine Iraqi blog.

I have a suggested nickname for John F’n Kerry.

It should be Frank Burns or John F’n Burns - The Major from the series MASH. An episode from Season 1 called

    Sometimes You Hear the Bullet.

    Aired January 28, 1973

Hawkeye is confronted with death when he is unable to save an old journalist friend (James Callahan) who is killed on the front. The death spurs Hawkeye to send an underaged soldier (Ron Howard) home. Meanwhile, Frank throws out his back and applies for a Purple Heart.

    I think it fits perfectly!!!

I was thinking of “short round.”

    Actually, I was Navy Air.

But Short Round is a term for an artillery round that falls short, often hitting friendly troops.
