Ted Koppel is a Fool
Wed April 7th, 2004 00:36 MSTToday has been very significant in the Iraq war, with an uprising by a minor but well armed Shiite militia backed by Iran, an uprising by Baathists, a coalition seige of Fallujah, battles in Fallujah, and a lot of people killed on all sides.
Here is your challenge: Guess what Ted Koppel considers the most important story:
I have a son in Iraq. YOur doing of the names of all our boys that have died over there so far caused a depression and a disgust for you. The little girl that has gone trying to get cell phones for all of our GI’s was a very good feeling in their hearts. YOur naming all of the fallen was not a tribute but a discouraging hate for you and your agenda. They know that what you said to be a tribute was done for your own gain and agenda and didn’t show any concern for the men and the situation they are in You were aiding and abetting the enemy and our enemies is not the President and his men.
Higgens. Thank you for your post. Thank you, your family, and your son for the service you are all giving to our country, and I would share the anguish I am sure you must suffer, if I could. My best wishes for you and your son. You are all patriots.
Some folks think that loving their country means they love to live hear.
You and your son show that it means a lot more than that.
A question that should be asked of Koppel: If this is honoring the dead in Iraq, why aren’t you honoring the dead in Afghanistan? It is clear that the difference is that you are doing this to damage our will to fight in Iraq. We had people like you when I was in Vietnam. One of them is running for president. Shame on you.l
