Anyone interested in an explanation of where The Left is today, print a copy of the “Newspeak Dictionary” from Google or similar search engine. It defines the lingua franca of the world of “1984″ by George Orwell, and is presciently close to the intellectual stew of the American Left.

The 911 Commission brings two things to mind. A definition of “crimestop” - “The faculty of stopping short, as though by instinct, at the threshold of any dangerous thought. It includes the power of not grasping analogies, of failing to perceive logical errors, of misunderstanding the simplest arguments if they are inimical to.. (the party line)..and of being bored or repelled by by train of thought which is capable of leading in a heretical direction. In short…”protective stupidity”. Discovering the failings of the Clintons, for instance.

The “Two Minute Hate” is, also, a shortened version of any random gathering of Leftists, from the 911 Commission to a Presidential Press Conference. That is “Daily telescreen specials in which various elements of..(not party line thinking) were packaged into a parade of horrible images and sounds, at which, the viewers were expected to boo, hiss, curse, and release any negative emotions upon.” George Bush, for example.

I fully expect that some future Benviniste or Kerrey or Kerry will recommend closing Republican heads in cages filled with hungry rats to eliminate the opposition.

We are on the edge here, with an organized and well-funded “party” which has, on its mind, only the tantrum of destruction and nothing else.
