We’ll miss you while you’re away - and try to be patient waiting for your return.
hope all is well.
Martha…”Man”. (Snicker)
Careful now. That Tourette’s can be very dangerous. Has your mother wiped the pudding from your chin today, Martha? This, dear friends, is a KERRY VOTER IN ALL HIS GLORY. All that effort to think and only two words. Well, Martha, your era has come and gone, it will never return, we have won, Homo Sapiens is replacing Simian. Get used to it. There will be places for an intellect like yours in the the future. Count on it.
Rhod,
Looks like the homeowner was just absent for a few hours, vandalizers have shown up. If their profile indicates they are who they are then a an American college boy like that is a totally waste of money and time. At least an illiterate has a good excuse that they have not have a chance to go to school.
Vandalizer? Strange.
Lan:
I think vandalizer is correct. Vandal would be the person in general and vandalizer the person after the act.
This person,(or persons) who did this are as you say, pampered college students with everything but self respect. This was worse than a prank, because it was political. We have no comparable people on our side. This is the opposition. They cannot be allowed to succeed.
Great to hear from you again.
Howdy, all!
Don’t know if any of you saw Andy Rooney on 60 Minutes this evening, but the man just made a bigger buffoon of himself than he did last week and the week before that (anyone recall not too long ago, when he laughingly referred to us as “Right Wing idiots?”). I used to like this man a great deal, but, in his increasing frustration with the Bush folks, he’s beginning to act like he’s losing his mind. Irrationality is growing exponentially among the Democrats, it seems, all across the board.
Remember the two New York ladies who lost their husband and son in 9-11, the same two women who publicly accused Rudy Giuliani of ‘murdering’ their family members? Well, I wrote to them a couple of weeks ago, explaining that they were Iraqi and leftist dupes’ for publicly castigating Rudy. “If you seek to blame anyone, why not place the blame on al-Qaida?” I asked. And their response, you ask? Well, just three simple words heard increasingly from frustrated, embittered: “Go to Hell!”
Now tell me: I attended college on the GI Bill, spent eight years on varying academic degrees, and wrote these furies a deliberate, well-reasoned letter. And they–one of them Vassar educated, I believe–responded with the aforementioned ‘thoughtful’ phrase.
Like Rhod said, what a tragic waste of ‘higher education.’ How true when they say, “A Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Waste!”
Well, it seems John’s still on vacation. I wonder if he’s somewhere out in central Oklahoma, chasing Tornadoes. I hate to say “I told you so,” John–but I’m a product of the great midwest–born and bred in the nation’s breadbasket, and I can smell those old ozone changes anytime tornadoes are near. Remember that smell from your childhood, John? You know, the one that mysteriously seems to present itself anytime the midwestern sky turns green?
Semper Fi,’ everyone. As Memorial Day 2004 draws nigh, I profoundly thank all of you for your military service to your nation.
John,
I took advantage of your absence to get in a little shot at you. See Roger Simon’s comments 6/01/04 concerning Michael (3 scoops, please) Moore and Richard (just kidding) Clarke. I got a “Hat Tip”, too. Does this make me famous?
John,
It’s me again. This is the first time that I have felt the need to visit your “Comments” area and leave a comment. I really like your introductory instructions as well as the list of html commands accepted by your comments window. That’s neat. I wish everyone would do this. Sometimes I end up wasting a lot of time in someone’s Comment window trying to juice up my comments (always profound, never to be ignored), only to find my efforts were in vain. Very professional. Enjoy the vac and hurry back.
