Vietnam Veterans Against Kerry

[UPDATE: There have been so many comments that the page has gotten too large. I have moved a copy of this page with all comments through 3/02/04 to here.
[UPDATE: Since many commenters (including vets) seem to be attacking George Bush's service, you are also slandering my dead comrades and many current service members. Check out the link and be ashamed.]
A Vietnam Veteran’s organization has sprung up to oppose John Kerry, because Kerry used his Vietnam credentials to the benefit of the enemy in that war, which is hard to reconcile with his constant bragging about his service today. If you don’t think Kerry helped the communists, go to the site of the VVAK, and also read the history of the conflict (on this blog), and read on here. Kerry helped our enemy, it’s that simple! His actions are those of one who cared for his comrades but not for his nation!
If you are a Veteran who supports Kerry, you might want to know who financed some of his anti-American activities after he returned to the US, activities which slandered American servicemen before the US Senate. Here is her picture:

If you are a Vietnam Vet, you know who this is. Jane Fonda sits at the controls of an anti-aircraft gun in Hanoi, between American bombing raids. For those who are not familiar with Fonda’s treasonous acts, read this.
This is the same Jane Fonda to whom today’s Vietnamese dictatorship remains grateful, fondly labeling her “Hanoi Jane”. From their news agency, January 2003:
The 30th anniversary of Ha Noi’s Dien Bien Phu of the Air seems an appropriate moment to remember that in the midst of violent US intervention, our country enjoyed the support of Jane Fonda and millions of Americans who never came here but who shared her sentiments. Her presence in North Viet Nam that grim winter, when the sky burnt red with explosions and anti-aircraft fire, was crucial in awakening the American peace movement.
Here is John Kerry with Jane Fonda. Contrary to claims that this was coincidental, Kerry was the lead speaker at the event where this picture was taken. Other speakers included Jane Fonda.

Here is the cover of the Kerry’s book which he tried to suppress (fairly successfully, they are very hard to find) after he decided to run for Congress, the congress which later betrayed South Vietnam, handing the communists a victory they were unable to achieve on the battlefield:
This is a disrespectful parody of the Marines raising the flag on Iwo Jima. The flag is upside down,
Here is a picture showing John Kerry sailing with the Kennedy clan, his source of what soldiers call “PI” - Political Influence. Don’t let anyone tell you that John Forbes Kerry comes from a modest background with no contacts.
.
And here is an excerpt from his Senate testimony. He claimed that our soldiers
raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam in addition to the normal ravage of war, and the normal and very particular ravaging which is done by the applied bombing power of this country.
He showed his lack of understanding of the war with this:
we watched while men charged up hills because a general said that hill has to be taken, and after losing one platoon or two platoons they marched away to leave the high for the reoccupation by the North Vietnamese because we watched pride allow the most unimportant of battles to be blown into extravaganzas, because we couldn’t lose, and we couldn’t retreat, and because it didn’t matter how many American bodies were lost to prove that point.
Of course, since the purpose of the battles was to kill the enemy, not occupy worthless hills, so naturally the US didn’t keep every hill it took!
But Jane Fonda’s hero also seemed to know all about the global geopolitical scene as a result of his time down in the trenches:
we cannot fight communism all over the world, and I think we should have learned that lesson by now….
Mr. Hoppe. The phrases and terminology are always the same and really make up a kind of doublespeak for the politically demented. “Taking our country back” means that “we” have it. If that’s the case, we can make a killing by selling off anything we paid for in Kerry’s Senate office.
But if the country is theirs, where is ours? If they want it back, then they like it the way it was before, so that must be “reactionary”.
The expression I like the most is that they want “to bring us together”. Kerry is a “uniter not a divider”. Excuse me while I close my head in a door. Their idea of reconciliation is for us to accept them unconditionally, or Kerry’s Bureau of Reconciliation and Unity will pay a vist to your house.
Beware The Left. They appropriate the language and then appropriate you.
Joseph,
I have good news for you, as I have found at least two other people who feel the site is not impressive and in fact is misdirected. I am sure you would like to hear this. They are John Kerry and Jane Fonda.
King Arthur,
Who in the hell are you. Use a real name you asshole.
John Forbes Kerry needs to stop wearing his service on his sleeve. Yes little rich Johnny, we all thank you for the nine months of service on a swift boat, and we are all glad that you got a silver star, which I’m sure your well-connected family background had nothing to do with. That doesn’t mean the country owes you the presidency though, if that were the case there would be about two million other men in line too, all of whom I would vote for before you.
ALRIGHT, ALREADY !!!! I’m just gonna have to come clean and unload the “Bro In Arms” handle….either that or risk the wrath of Wootten who I picture as a 10 foot tall head-thumper. Just joking, Wootten…and please, no hot dog comments about my real name!!
If only Nixon unleashed this super-patriotic eagle Bush on them Commies the war would be won in no time. No doubt about that. Unfortunately, he had more important duties to perform in Alabama. That’s how traitors like Kerry who evaded danger while hiding in Vietnam swamps stabbed US into the back. If only G.W. Bush, N. Gingrich and other patriots had a chance in 1960-1970 th the world would be far better place.
Joe
Joe Primo,
Actually if they would have just turned us loose with what we had the war would have been won. Or maybe if John Kerry had been willing to terrorise the VC for the remaining nine months of his tour he could have cleaned out the Delta single handed.
By the way, what were you doing when all this was going on?
The fact of the matter is this: Bush is getting a lot of innocent American boys killed over in Iraq for nothing. Have we learned nothing from the fiasco of Vietnam? Why are Midwesterners so damn ignorant and fearful? And why do they have such little respect for their male children, that they would send them off to die so quickly in an unjust and immoral war? It’s a legit question that begs to be answered.
I think we would agree that the dialog between Mr. Serf and Mr. Moore is unfortunate. I wrote a week ago that we should rise above the name-calling and keep the debate on the high ground. I think Mr. Moore responded that he was incapable of doing this, which is too bad-I recall he said in a post this: ‘A lot of the “namecalling” is correct labelling. The anger is real. Those of us who served during that period have a damned good reason to be angry, and your wishes are not going to make them go away’.
So, Mr. Serf, I think Mr. Moore has admitted he is incapable of being objective and reasonable about this debate.
Having said that, it fascinates me that one of my questions remains unaddressed: namely, if Mr. Kerry was a man of means from a family of means, why would he need Ms. Fonda to fund his agenda?
I believe the truth of the matter is that it is a prevarication to assert, as this web site does, that Ms. Fonda funded Mr. Kerry’s activities. They didn’t have any kind of relationship whatsoever. To assert that the circulating photo of the two of them - not even sitting next to each other - indicates some sort of “relationship” is disingenous.
I’m not a “brownshirt” Democrat. If I were, I’d take offense that the party that produced FDR, Harry Truman, Jack Kennedy, Adlai Stevenson, other shining icons of reason and compassion and sensitivity would be compared to Mussolini. Wow. Whoops, I forgot, Mr. Moore, and Rhod, and others have already indicated that they cannot be objective or reasonable or reasoned or civil. Ok then.
But why lie? Why the obvious prevarication and misrepresentation about the relationship between Jane Fonda and Kerry? It’s nonsensical, a non sequiter, and it undercuts your message.
Might as well tell the truth, no?

Johnnie,
Ask Jane Fonda or John Kerry, I am sure they can explain it to you. Or go to Little Saigon and ask Lan and his friends, I am sure they would really make their explination sink in deep.
You little commie twerp.
Mark,
Why are you so bent on seperating Jane Fonda from John Kerry? I mean they both wanted the same thing in the 60’s and 70’s. Or if you can seperate them, are you saying that perhaps one of them was wrong and you don’t want your hero to be associated with the other?
Was Jane Fonda or John Kerry wrong in what they did, siding with the communist? What is your feelings on that. Or at least tell us why you are trying to seperate them.
By the way, I know where a lot of the money came from for the “peace” demonstrations.
And Johnnie has a good point, his titillating moniker notwithstanding. The deaths of our soldiers in Iraq are completely meaningless and nonsensical. If GWBush had just told the truth, and said, “look, I know there aren’t really any weapons of mass destruction, and I know that Saddam Hussein wasn’t connected to the events of 9/11, and I know that he’s not any real threat to America, and I know that the UN weapons inspections and political pressure we’ve put on him over the past few years have worked, but I don’t care, I just don’t like the little fucker, he tried to hurt my Daddy, and I’m taking him out, and I get the added benefit of adding trillions of dollars of debt to our national debt which will help facilitate the collapse of entitlement programs like Social Security which I hate anyway as a republican, and ensure the privatization of Medicare so the Health Insurance industry can make huge profits while it erodes the health and security of our seniors”, well, at least we could have respected him. But not only did he make a very grave and foolish decision about Iraq, but also he was dishonest about the reasons for going.
Isn’t the death of even one boy a ridiculous meaningless waste?
Again, why can’t people just be brave enough to tell the truth?

Mark,
Oookayy, tell us the truth why you are trying to seperate Jane Fonda from John Kerry.
Mr. Wooten York,
1)Why are you so bent on seperating Jane Fonda from John Kerry?
I am not “separating” them they were obviously separated in the photo! I am just saying, why not tell the truth? Mr. Kerry was not funded by Ms. Fonda. For this web site to assert so is a lie.
2) Perhaps one of them was wrong and you don’t want your hero to be associated with the other?
Um….I don’t like either one of them. Again, I am simply saying, why not tell the truth? Neither is my “hero”!
3) Was Jane Fonda or John Kerry wrong in what they did, siding with the communist? What is your feelings on that. Or at least tell us why you are trying to seperate them.
I’m not trying to separate them. They were never “together!” I think Jane Fonda was ve
