Norks have Nukes

George Bush just warned Iran not to develop nukes, so naturally North Korea, wanting the spotlight, has announce it has nuclear weapons for “defensive” use.
This indicates that China was either unable or unwilling to do what was necessary to stop them. If it wasn’t before, North Korea is now clearly a nuclear target. They have foolishly raised the stakes dramatically.
If China doesn’t take the North in hand quickly, the US will need to defang North Korea by force, not a pleasant thought. It iwll make Iraq look like a training exercise in comparison.

“defand North Korea” – sorry, I think your meaning may have been obscured here – did you mean “Defend SOUTH Korea” or “defang North Korea”?
