Gay Rights Imperialism – Bend Over, Nigeria
Posted By John Moore on February 1, 2009
In the grand old days, imperialist nations used military and economic power to rule the world.
Apparently not much has changed.
Nigeria, a democratic nation, just enacted a law banning gay marriage.
Europeans want their Nigerian inferiors to bend over and take a European stance.
The EU Parliament’s Gay and Lesbian Rights Intergroup wields economic imperialism as their sword.
How many Nigerians will suffer or die for this European conceit?
Obviously they don’t care.
Gay activists enjoy ruiining the lives of people who won’t accept deviant behavior. In modern times, it started with Anita Bryant, and once that worked, the homosexuals went to ruining the lives and careers of others who didn’t give in to them–including a population of innocent, helpless people in Nigeria. Well, at least the liberals are admitting in a fashion, although on a less important matter, that the U.S. boycott of Cuba is a legitimate tool in world politics.
It’s always interesting to hear conservatives accuse anyone of “imperialism” as if they really believed imperialism were a bad thing.
Yet if anyone accuses conservatives of imperialism–like when they call for military invasions of other countries, or when they try to justify keeping prisoners in an offshore territorial enclave (Guantanamo) without habeas corpus–they scoff at the very notion. Which is it, guys?
If calling for a boycott is “imperialism,” I need a new dictionary.
